Help people make one of the most important decisions in their lives - the purchase of property! Real estate professionals act as an intermediary between sellers and buyers of property and attempt to find sellers who wish to sell and buyers who wish to buy.

Course Prerequisites and Special Notes

You need to take both PRLE 2 and PRLE 3 to satisfy your education pre-licensing requirements set by the State of Illinois. This will satisfy the 75 education hours you need. Once you successfully pass both courses, you will be able to sit for the state licensing exam, offered by Applied Measurement Professionals (AMP). For more information on the licensing exam, please visit the PSI Exams Candidate Information Booklet (as of 2/2023). It is recommended that students take PRLE 2 before PRLE 3.

Prior to receiving an Illinois Real Estate license one must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have graduated from high school or obtained an equivalent degree
  • Have completed the required real estate education hours at an approved school
