Course Description

The A.L.I.C.E. (ALERT, LOCKDOWN, INFORM, COUNTER, EVACUATE) program is designed to give a person, or group of people, who may find themselves in a violent, life-threatening situation, some mental and physical tools that could play a vital role in their survival. The program is designed so that anybody can employ the strategies. Young, old, male, female, it does not matter. One does not have to be police or military trained in order to survive a violent encounter. They do need to have a frame of reference form which to draw, when making life saving decisions under extreme pressure, much like preparing for a fire, tornado or earthquake. 

Learner Outcomes

SAVE LIVES: ALICE preparedness training will help individuals in your are respond with confidence, increasing the survivability of an act of violence.

BUILD CONFIDENCE: ALICE strategies are supported by peer-reviewed research to reduce anxiety and build confidence in individuals who have gone through the ALICE program.

MITIGATE RISK: The ALICE program helps every organization meet and exceed active shooter response requirements and minimum requirements designated by their industry oversight rules.

Notes

This training consists of two parts:

  1. In-person two-hour session
  2. Asynchronous e-learning portion (information will be shared during in-person session)
