Course Description

This workshop explores the practical aspects of applying Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in online courses, with an emphasis on executive functions. It stresses the importance of featuring diverse perspectives in course materials to accurately represent the varied experiences of students. Moreover, the session will instruct participants on how to create content that is inclusively designed and mindful of addressing and reducing human biases.

Speaker Bio: Dr. Spencer Willis, Jr. is an Associate Professor of Practice within the College Teaching Graduate Interdisciplinary Program (GIDP) and contributes as an educational development consultant focusing on asynchronous and online teaching at the University of Arizona Center for Assessment, Teaching, and Technology (UCATT). Additionally, he serves as a lecturer of health promotion sciences at the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, University of Arizona.
