Course Description

This Jed Foundation workshop, presented by a CAPS therapist, is designed to help faculty and staff understand how to identify and support struggling students and refer them to additional resources when necessary.

Learner Outcomes

  • Understand current trends in mental health among college students.
  • Understand your role in supporting students.
  • Identify signs of distress in students.
  • Discuss barriers to helping students.
  • Know how to engage in conversation with a student in distress.
  • List places and resources that can be used to support a student.

Notes

This course requires a minimum of 5 registered participants to run and maximizes at 25 registrations. If the event is canceled, you will be notified via CLC Learn system.
