Course Description

Are you dreaming of becoming a pastry chef? Start making your dream come true in this four-day culinary experience in a professional kitchen. Practice the basics of operating a safe and sanitary kitchen. Learn baking techniques (such as piping skills) while preparing a variety of sweet pastry such as buttermilk biscuits cupcakes with buttercream frosting mini fruit pies and drop cookies. Discover the many career possibilities available in the culinary and hospitality industry.

For students' protection they must wear long pants a long-sleeved shirt and proper shoes. Tennis shoes with laces are fine but may not have holes mesh or sheer fabric. No open-back shoes or heels. Students with long hair will be required to wear both a hairnet and a cap.
