Course Description

IT Support is one of the fastest growing fields in the United States. This new innovative program will prepare you for an entry level job. No previous experience with computers is necessary just a desire to learn.

This course is part of a new initiative by Google based on the training that it developed to prepare its own IT support staff. This certificate program consists of online courses related to technical support fundamentals computer networking operating systems system administration IT infrastructure and IT security. Coursework includes a combination of lectures quizzes and hands-on lab activities.

Students will meet one time with a local instructor to walk through accessing the materials and how to navigate the course. From there the instructor will be available to provide additional explanations and examples. Students will also be able to receive customized support about employment opportunities in the area.
