Course Description

Sooner or later life will throw you a curve ball forcing you to think on your feet. Rather than freaking out why not grin because you are prepared to answer calmly in ways that draw others in? Instead of ending conversations or unexpected opportunities in life, education or your career, launch those conversations and opportunities. Stanford's Business School trains future leaders the ability to stay present - in the moment - so they can add on to business discussions. Using the same text Stanford recommends, Patricia Ryan Madson's Improv Wisdom, we will focus on her 13 maxims. Expect the unexpected. Expect to laugh. Expect to think. Expect to gain skills you will be able to call on no matter what life flings your way.

This course is only available to seventh and eighth grade middle school students who have qualified for the Fast-Paced Gifted Program.
