Course Description

Step into the world of literary analysis in this workshop approach to reading, appreciating, interpreting, and writing about classical literature. Explore different forms of fiction, drama, and poetry while being introduced to several types of literary criticisms. Strengthen your ability to read, think and write critically and learn to defend your discoveries properly.

Notes

This course is offered only for sixth, seventh and eighth grade students who have qualified for the Fast-Paced Gifted Program.

Students: Bring paper, a pen or pencil to take notes and a highlighter. Bring your own device (tablet, Chromebook or laptop) with Wi-Fi capabilities and Word or Doc writing app or program. Devices are to be used specifically for class-related activities. When not in use, devices should be silenced, turned off and put away. (See Code of Conduct).
