Course Description

This workshop will explore the concept of inclusive teaching, focusing on its application to the diverse group of students in online settings. The session will cover various checklists and rubrics created to enhance inclusive teaching practices. It will also address the crucial challenge of the digital divide, providing strategies to overcome technology access barriers, thus ensuring equitable learning experiences for all students.

Speaker Bio: Dr. Spencer Willis, Jr. is an Associate Professor of Practice within the College Teaching Graduate Interdisciplinary Program (GIDP) and contributes as an educational development consultant focusing on asynchronous and online teaching at the University of Arizona Center for Assessment, Teaching, and Technology (UCATT). Additionally, he serves as a lecturer of health promotion sciences at the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, University of Arizona.
