With pet ownership on the rise, the need for skilled Veterinary Assistants is in great demand. Working with Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants help to provide medical care as well as facilitate positive customer relationships. Potential employers include veterinarian clinics, animal hospitals, governmental animal control facilities and pet adoption facilities.
