New this semester!
We’re introducing a series of one-hour Real Estate Workshops that dive deeper into specialized topics beyond the core curriculum. Students enrolled in PRLE 2/3 are invited to attend any workshop during the semester at no additional cost.
Course prerequisites and special notes
You need to take both PRLE 2 and PRLE 3 to satisfy your education pre-licensing requirements set by the State of Illinois. This will satisfy the 75 education hours you need. Once you successfully pass both courses, you will be able to sit for the state licensing exam, offered by Applied Measurement Professionals (AMP). For more information on the licensing exam, please visit the PSI Exams Candidate Information Booklet (as of 2/2025). It is recommended that students take PRLE 2 before PRLE 3.
Prior to receiving an Illinois Real Estate license one must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have graduated from high school or obtained an equivalent degree
- Have completed the required real estate education hours at an approved school
- Pass a state license examination
