Course Description

Introduction to ancient Kalamkari Art history technique evolution decline and revival as well as showcasing samples of Kalamkari pieces of fabrics and tools. Self-made video/documentary taken during a personal trip to the artisans in India while sharing the different styles of Kalamkari. Participants will be doing a couple of Kalamkari paintings on canvas using acrylic paints focusing only on the motif.
