Course Description

Study the components of short stories using short films and mentor texts. Examine plot development, characterization, conflict, theme and setting. Using weekly writing prompts and mini lessons, showcase your creative writing skills and work to complete your own short story. Explore writing from different points of view and learn more about specific literary devices and techniques like irony and foreshadowing.
