Course Description
This course is designed for anyone who is chairing a faculty search committee or is a member of faculty search committee.
This course covers the key information and the processes you will need to participate on a faculty search committee.
The course covers an introduction to CLC, Diversity and Bias in hiring, CLC's hiring process, Search Committee Roles and Responsibilities, Reviewing job applications and avoiding bias in the applicant selection process preparing interview questions and conducting the interview. A downloadable interview preparation workbook and forms are included in the course.
Course Outline
The course consists of 6 short modules, and takes approx. 2.5 hours to complete. It is available online on demand on CANVAS.
Start at Unit 1 and work through the course, completing one unit at a time.
