CPER 32 - Voice-over Breakout: Audiobooks

Course Description

Audiobooks are growing in popularity and provide plenty of opportunities for voice-over narrators. Discover the performance and technical skills needed to create audiobooks and learn how to find and audition for narration jobs. Receive guidance and practice on how to create audiobook auditions and final products. Be prepared to read two pages of one of your favorite books. Or a book you feel a casting agent may agree fits your voice and reading abilities. Prior to class sign up for a free Audacity account at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/. Students will need the following: computer with webcam headphones (optional) email to receive class handouts. Prerequisite: Voice-over: Fundamentals.

This class will be held live online via Zoom in a dedicated virtual classroom space where students and instructors will connect together. Students are expected to be online at the scheduled class time in order to participate in the class lectures, discussions, and presentations.
